The visitor center is run by the West Quoddy Head Light Keepers Board of Directors. It is a 501c not for profit and receives no government funding. Operations and the salary of the executive director is funded by memberships and donations as well as from the sale of local artworks in our gallery.
The Visitor Center offers a range of interactive historic exhibits including information about the coast guard, the West Quoddy light tower, and surrounding ecology and fishing and shipping industries that have defined the area for hundreds of years. Visitors will see a video tour of the tour and speak with local staff, knowledgeable of the area.
The lighthouse gallery offers unique original artwork by local and nationally known artist. Selection is wide and varied from original paintings and photography, to signed numbered prints and local sculpture. Don't miss it!
